Ahelon is looking for an experienced Growth Strategy Lead to join our team!

About the team and the job

If you have 6+ years of experience leading growth/performance work and owning client outcomes, we’d love to meet you.

You bring proven expertise in at least one core performance area (digital advertising, analytics/measurement, CRO, marketing automation, SEO, or similar) and you can confidently lead integrated plans across the rest.

This role is built for a strategic operator, not a strategist who hands over a deck and disappears. Strategy is the starting point, but most of the work is ongoing strategic project delivery: setting priorities, making weekly trade-offs, client communication, guiding specialists, and continuously improving performance across channels.

As a Growth Strategy Lead, you own the day-to-day partnership with clients and the end-to-end delivery of the growth roadmap and ongoing optimization cycles. You run the operating rhythm (priorities, execution quality, performance reviews, decision-making), keep projects on time, within scope, and profitable, and make sure strategy turns into measurable business impact.

In addition to client ownership, we expect you to keep building our internal capability: improve processes, playbooks, and frameworks for how we lead and deliver growth across projects. Over time, this role is expected to help shape and grow a dedicated layer/team of strategic project owners to raise consistency, quality, and scalability across the agency.

Your qualifications

  • 6+ years managing growth/performance marketing projects across lead generation, e-commerce, or B2B.
  • Strong client ownership: you can lead senior stakeholders, drive decisions, keep scope and priorities under control.
  • Strong project delivery leadership: you structure work, delegate across specialists, run timelines, ensure quality an profitability.
  • Proven expertise in at least one marketing service (ads, SEO, automation, or another area), but with full-funnel thinking.
  • Data-driven: You think beyond reporting, use analytics, attribution constraints and experimentation to decide what to do next.
  • Builder and optimizer mentality: you improve processes, frameworks, playbooks, and ways of working, not just execute what already exists.
  • People leadership: Interest and potential for people leadership as the function grows (previous experience preferable, but not mandatory)

Bonus points

  • Agency experience in similar environment (multi-market, multi-channels)
  • B2B/startup experience (longer funnels, lead quality, sales alignment, CRM workflows).
  • Experience building or scaling delivery processes (playbooks, QA, reporting standards, experimentation frameworks).

Your day-to-day

Strategy and growth

  • Own a portfolio of key clients: strategy, priorities, and ongoing delivery outcomes.
  • Lead discovery phase, diagnose the situation, define the growth problem, and translate it into a clear plan.
  • Define goals, KPIs, scope, and priorities with the client
  • Identify the biggest leverage points: messaging/offers, audiences, funnel, creative, landing pages, automation, retention.
  • Design integrated full-funnel strategies across channels and align specialists around key direction.

 

Project delivery management

  • Turn strategy into an execution cycles/roadmap (initiatives, owners, timelines) on an ongoing basis.
  • Delegate effectively and coordinate specialists across ads, SEO, CRO, analytics, automation, and content.
  • Track performance, run experiments, optimize, and ensure work quality.
  • Manage scope and profitability: prevent scope creep, align deliverables, and propose changes when needed.
  • Keep projects on time, within scope, and outcome-focused.

 

Client and stakeholder management

  • Own client communication: agendas, action items, decisions, follow-ups, etc.
  • Deliver and present clear reports and actionable insights.

 

Team leadership

  • Support with strategic planning and team financial management (goal setting, project profitability management).
  • Internal organisation: team work organisation, tracking efficiency.
  • Continue building our internal capability: improve processes, playbooks, and frameworks.
  • People management, hiring/exiting, mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Contribute to agency pitches and proposals with strategy, scope, and strong reasoning.
  • Supporting our marketing activities and promotion.
