Our wish for the greater satisfaction of the people working in Degordian inspired us to introduce different work options. Check out each of them!

Ever since Degordian was founded, we believe that people and their satisfaction have to be a priority. If we want to ensure the best level of employee satisfaction, productivity, and, at the end of the daywork results, we must be flexible and respond to that changes accordingly.

Putting people first

It is the people who make the company, not the other way around. That’s why it is important for us to have the best possible team. That kind of team consists of people who love what they are doing, have the knowledge and passion for learning continuously, and want to give their maximal effort in their area of expertise.

The growth opportunities for every career level

During the years, we’ve put a lot of thought into finding ways and developing processes that could give the opportunity for people of different professional levels and aspirations to grow with Degordian growth. Having that in mind, we carried out three different work arrangement types:

Student internship – intended for young people at the beginning of their professional growth.
Full-time employment – intended for people who build their careers within permanent employment.
External association– intended for people who want to work independently and strengthen their skills and knowledge within the projects they are engaged in.

Every type of arrangement has its specifics, which provide different benefits and engagement options. If you are thinking about working with or within the Degordian team or only looking for valuable insight that you could implement in your own business, keep reading and find out more details.

Work arrangement as an Intern

This arrangement is pointed to younger future Degordians. Perfect for students that are searching for a field of focus, extra education, and valuable experiences. We really love this model where we help students enter the business world.

Our Internship program is suited for all those students who are actively studying but want to develop knowledge and practical skills. Students’ work is significant to us, especially for the support and more operational tasks in each department. By providing students with internships, we also build a talent pool for our core team’s junior positions.

We employ interns based on external selections, considering collaboration in a long-term context. We don’t offer professional internships that last only for a month or two, nor do we have a volunteering option. When we need help with job tasks that an intern could do, we first start the selection process, promote it, and finally – we choose the best candidate from the pool of those candidates that applied. Interns are also arranged into units and teams through the organizational structure.

It is important that students fit our team because most internships end up with employment after graduation.

Work arrangement as an External Associate

Our goal is to offer the most flexible work possibilities and maintain a high standard of growth, satisfaction, and steady income

Sometimes we don’t have specific knowledge and skills in the core team, or the core team is too busy at a particular moment. In that case, we would make connections with freelancers or smaller agencies to help us out.

When looking for new external associates for certain services, we hire based on external selections or the recommendation we receive. The associates should look at the cooperation in a partnership way and for a long run, as we do. The goal is that both parties have maximally professional engagement. Even though the associates are not part of our core team, they play a significant role in producing quality output.

Some details of this work option are:

Work organization

– Suitable arrangements are: freelancers, small teams, and small companies
– Associate has to have the option to issue an invoice – if a person doesn’t have this option, Degordian will instruct and help open the easiest legal entity
– Partnership agreement
– Obligation to have other clients as well (Degordian should make up less than 50% of revenue)
– Obligation to respect deadlines for projects and jobs
– Fixed contact person or contact team within Degordian
– Flexible working hours and location – associates choose when, where and how much you work
– Office access – if and when needed

Work culture

– Cooperation with a passionate, positive, and ambitious Degordian core team

Progress and development

– Project feedback talks
– Long-lasting cooperation – we are striving for long-term business relationships
– Employment possibilities – if wanted, within new employment job opportunities

 Assets

– Associates use their work equipment, but there is the possibility of renting additional equipment if needed for a job

Finances

– Paid by an invoice
– Paid per hour or job

To conclude, how do we determine which work arrangement we need and who can apply?

When we need reinforcement we define if the new job opening is suitable for an Intern, Full-time employee, or External Associate.

At the beginning of the selection process and in the job ad, it will be defined which work arrangements are suitable and what we can offer for each position. Mostly there will be only one of these 3. Still, there might be a possibility that more work arrangements will be applicable for one job, so it depends more on the candidate’s preferences.

If you wish to work in Degordian, keep an eye on the open positions published on our Careers page. On the other hand, if we currently don’t have an open position for your dream job, consider what type of work engagement would suit you best and send us a letter of interest.

We believe that there will be opportunities for cooperation in one of these work options.

If you have any questions, we are always happy to hear from you! 🙂
