We are looking for a detail-oriented person experienced in the finance field, who wants to further develop and share their knowledge of finance and accounting! This role requires a specialist on the Medior level with 3 + years of experience. This person will be the right hand to our Head of Finance, mainly focused on finance tasks concerning the Serbian office. The primary focus of our Finance department is the development, organization, and management of the Degordian Group’s financial operations — this means everything from tracking income and expenses to supporting management through financial reporting. The department works closely with the management and team leaders, giving them proactive suggestions and strategic advice regarding finances, and consequently influencing better business decision-making. It’s responsible for various financial analyses and exercises an analytical approach to reporting.

We’re looking for a person who would like to participate in the further development of the financial aspect (e.g. finance procedures, process improvement…) of the company’s business and who has experience working in similar positions. Our new team member needs to be responsible, organized, analytical, and proactive. A detail-oriented mindset and an unwavering love for spreadsheets are definitely a huge plus, too.

A person who welcomes new ideas and likes to share their own, as this job includes cooperating with a lot of colleagues, and in time, mentoring other team members. Your qualifications

  • BA/MA (desirably finance or accounting related)
  • 3 + years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience in working on administrative tasks (in the fields of finance and accounting)
  • Good knowledge of tax and accounting laws for trading associations
  • Good knowledge of Google Drive and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) 
  • Excellent knowledge of Serbian (C2) and good knowledge of the English language (B2), both written and spoken
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills

Your day-to-day

  • Supporting our Head of Finance in everyday tasks
  • Analyzing financial data, making reports, and reporting to the Head of Finance
  • Preparing cost and revenue data on a monthly basis 
  • Participating in short term cash flow planning
  • Managing the company’s payment transactions
  • Participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans and budgets
  • Participating in the control of internal financial reports
  • Cooperating with external accounting
  • Collecting and preparing documentation for external accounting (processing of incoming and outgoing invoices)
  • Creating and sending outgoing invoices
  • Calculation and entry of travel orders and personal vehicle usage for business purposes
  • Collaborating with financial and state institutions and reporting to them (state institutions, banks, credit institutions)
  • Cooperation and engagement of attorneys in the field of legal tasks and inquiries (e.g. drafting power of attorney, authorization, articles of incorporation). Monitoring and implementing changes in Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR)
  • Participating in defining and implementing the Finance team’s internal procedures
  • Daily communication and collaboration with finance team on the Group level
  • Cooperating with all teams and departments in the agency
  • Monitoring financial laws, directives, and novelties relevant to the industry and sharing new knowledge with team members
